Nature Trax is a local organisation based in Albury Wodonga connecting people with nature in the Ovens Murray region.

Nature Trax offers nature walks and hikes, and nature prescriptions /connection activities throughout the Ovens Murray Region
of Victoria including:

  • Beechworth/ Stanley

  • Mt Beauty/ Falls Creek

  • Mt Buffalo

As a registered Parks Victoria Tour Operator, our activities are safely led by very experienced outdoor guides and mental health professionals.

Our Story

Nature Trax was founded in 2025 to connect people to nature in the beautiful Ovens Murray region of Victoria for physical and mental health, wellbeing, social and spiritual connections.

We all know (and research confirms) that connecting with nature is good for physical and mental health, and wellbeing. It’s also beneficial for social and spiritual connections we make in the outdoors.

Meet Simon

Simon Jones PhD

With 19 years of experience in outdoor recreation, education and mental health, Simon has led more than 100 outdoor adventure programs throughout Victoria.

Simon is passionate about connecting people with nature to promote mental health and wellbeing. In 2021, he completed a PhD exploring ‘the benefit of spirituality in nature for the mental health, wellbeing and recovery of people living with mental illness’.
